Carl Mason, CCM, PMP
Construction operator turned developer, building workforce housing in the Texas corridors where he has delivered public projects for years.
Carl Mason is the Founder and CEO of MG & Sons Holdings, the parent company of MPG Workforce Communities and Masons Premier Group. He leads development strategy, site work, municipal relationships, capital formation and project execution across the companies.
His background is operational before financial. Over more than 17 years in commercial construction, public capital projects, owner’s representation and design-build delivery, he has worked on about 200 projects with more than $350 million of total construction value, on the East Coast and in Texas.
Much of that work has been for public owners: K-12 bond programs, municipal coordination and politically sensitive projects where schedules, budgets and stakeholders all had to line up. MPG Workforce Communities grew out of seeing the same problem on project after project: the jobs arrive, and the housing for the people who fill them does not.
Carl is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and Project Management Professional (PMP), and a 2026 Austin Business Journal Best CEO Awards nominee.
